Xingma Precision Casting Co., Ltd. is located at the western suburb of Pingshan County, which is on the north bank of Jinsha River, the upstream of the famous River Yangzi. The company is about 83 kilometres to the west of Yibin City, which is called the First City along the Yangzi River, in east access to the Yibin-Neijiang-Chengdu-Chongqing Expressway. Established in 1984, the company is a foundry specialised in investment castings, occupying an area of 10,000 sq. m. with a total of 130 employees, 20 of which are senior foundry technicians. The company has a fixed asset of 6 million RMB, consisting of two shops engaged in lost wax and lost foam castings respectively. Designed capacity is 1,800 tons per annum, of which 800 t/a are allocated to investment castings which include more than 10 series and scores of specifications for automotive transmission axle forks, universal joints, sleeve forks, intermediate cams, etc. Actual output in 1998 was 802 tons. Main products made in lost foam process consist of transmission housings, wear resistant balls, crankshafts, control valve;, etc. The transmission housings exported to Germany was awarded First Prize in the "International Non-Ferrous and Special Castings Exhibition" sponsored by the China Foundry Association held in 1998 in Shanghai. The company is a member of the China Foundry Association and the Company's chairman Mr. Tang Dai-Jun is a member of the Standing Committee of CFA Investment Casting Branch Association.

Production

Investment Casting----Various grades of carbon, alloy and stainless steels. Lest Foam Casting----Various grades of gray, ductile and alloy irons. Equipment----Melting furnace:2 sets of 250 kg capacity furnaces and 1 set of 500 kg furnace. Chemical analysis:2 sets of automatic composition analysers, capable of precise determination of C, Si, Mn, P, S, Cu, Mo, Cr, Ni, 1 metallography microscope. 1 hardness tester, 8 box type ovens. 3 cleaning machines. Investment casting employs low temperature wax for patterns, sodium silicate for shel. binder, shells baked in box type ovens, melts performed in acid (basic) medium frequency electric furnaces. Lost foam castings are produced on a simple company constructed production line under the guidance of the CFA Lost Foam Technical Committee. This line has run successfuly for 4 years, bringing about a total output of around 800 tons. The line is presently undergoing reformation to suit the increasing demand of lost foam castings.
